The double chin is impossible to hide, so it is essential to look splendid.

With some tricks and some care, you can achieve it.


Although genetic aspects also play a role, a double chin is usually the natural result of aging or the consequence of weight gain.

Here are some things you can do to decrease it.

1 If your double chin is somewhat pronounced, makeup can be a great help.

You want to make your jawline look more prominent than your neck by using a powder that is one shade darker than your skin tone in your neck area. An attractive blush and interesting eye makeup will draw attention away from the neck, an eyeliner and mascara will go a long way. At the same time, you can reduce the attention to the lower part of your face, using a lipstick in neutral tones.

8 The platysma is the muscle that runs down the neck of the jaw and exercising it is very convenient to fight double chin. Stand with your neck erect. Tense the tendons of the jaw, pulling the lips up over the teeth and turning the corners of the mouth down, almost as if you were frowning. Hold this position for 10 seconds and then relax. Repeat the exercise 10 times.

9 A tennis ball is a good exercise ally: place it against your neck and hold it with your chin, press hard on the ball and then release it slightly, without letting it fall. Repeat 10 times.

10 Lie on your back, relax the muscles of your face and flex your head until you reach your chest. The series is 10 repetitions and increases until you reach 50.

11 Chewing gum is a very easy exercise to do and helps keep your jaw muscles strong, which leads to a reduction in double chin. Choose sugar-free gum.

12 If you are with a few extra kilos, your double chin will increase. A decrease of 4 or 5 kilos will already make a change. It is necessary to be persevering, because the face is the last place where fat is eliminated. Running, swimming and bicycling are excellent cardiovascular activities, practice one of these activities for at least half an hour, a minimum of 4 times a week.

13 Take care of your diet. Limit your calorie intake, thus reducing fat stored in the body and face. Calm your hunger with fruits, salads and low-calorie foods. Losing weight is one of the best ways to reduce double chin and you will also do something positive for your body.

Do not try fads or restrictive diets, focus on making a change in the way you eat, choosing foods properly and leaving aside sugars and trans fats. Limit fried foods and junk foods.
